Gucci’s Spring Summer 2025 Women’s Fashion Show took place at La Triennale in Milan last week, attended by stars like Dakota Johnson and Daisy Edgar-Jones. This collection marks a shift toward a more casual aesthetic for the luxury label, inspired by creative director Sabato De Sarno’s personal summertime memories with family in Formentera. The runway experience was vibrant, evoking a sunset with hues of yellow, orange, and red that were also evident in garments.
The collection featured oversized coats that skim the floor, boyish jeans, broad-brim hats that’s poised to be the hat of the season, and sheer dresses and for those familiar with Gucci’s heritage. De Sarno also paid homage to the brand’s iconic 1996 Tom Ford white jersey dresses, introducing deeper colours. Additionally, the classic Bamboo bag, a Gucci staple for 60 years, made a notable return, with vintage versions customised by Japanese artists taking centre stage.
