Reality and illusion collide in Loewe’s new women’s campaign, captured by the iconic photographer David Sims. Echoing the brand’s Fall Winter 23 collection, the visual language defies conventional boundaries, embodied by Taylor Russell (a Loewe global brand ambassador) and the actress Tang Wei.
The pair exist in a suspended reality, within an erased landscape. Interacting with a pair of glasses and a mirror, Russell and Wei create a striking visual dichotomy, delicately holding the brand’s iconic Puzzle tote and the soft, sculptural Squeeze Bag, distinguished by its ruched and unlined nappa leather and customisable features.

The campaign not only captures the essence of these accessories but also celebrates the craftsmanship and weightlessness that define them, such as the tactile experience of feathers, rhinestones, brushed suede, and shearling.
The narrative unfolds through clothing as well, with Russell and Wei donning garments that weave their own stories. Fluid duchesse satin dresses adorned with mesmerising blur prints play with the viewer’s perception, while square-lined bonded-nappa outfits in delicate pastel tones evoke a sculptural elegance reminiscent of cherished Polly Pocket toys.
The campaign’s surrealist composition presents bags and shoes like works of art. The Puzzle Edge, Flamenco, Goya, and Paseo bags, alongside the Toy and Bow pumps, become objects of desire, each frame embracing a captivating fusion of straightforwardness and mystique.
