Even if you didn’t catch much of the Paris Olympics this year, you probably heard about one of the most significant races in history: the men’s 100m sprint. Lasting just 9.79 seconds, it made waves as USA’s Noah Lyles edged out Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson by a mere 5/1,000th of a second in a photo finish — a result determined by the precision of Omega’s timekeeping technology.

Now, the Swiss luxury watchmaker embarks on its next sporting journey as the official timekeeper of the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona.

To celebrate this milestone, it has introduced an exceptional new collectible: the Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup 42 mm. This limited-edition timepiece is not only certified as a Master Chronometer but also pays tribute to the prestigious sailing event.

The 42 mm watch, crafted in stainless steel, features a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel with a regatta scale, including two 5-minute pre-start sections and a start section marked by a regatta-inspired flag. This attention to detail continues onto the dial, where laser-engraved waves in positive relief on a white ceramic matt-finish surface evoke the spirit of the sea. Omega has also honoured the America’s Cup trophy itself, incorporating its image into the design. The central seconds hand features a counterweight shaped like the trophy, rendered in the same blue as the Barcelona logo, which is prominently displayed on the sapphire crystal caseback.

The Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup 42 mm is presented in a commemorative blue box with red stitching, a nod to the America’s Cup’s rich history. Blending cutting-edge dive watch technology with sailing-specific functionality, this latest addition to the Seamaster Diver 300M line, first launched in 1993, is a must-have for sailing enthusiasts and collectors alike.
