Australian Indigenous intercultural dance company Marrugeku has launched “Burrbgaja Yalirra (Dancing Forwards) 2”, the follow-up to its critically acclaimed, international season of “Jurrungu Ngan-ga”. Dedicated to the collaboration of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians to develop new dance languages that are “restless, transformative and unwavering”, Marrugeku’s latest production is shaped by a trilogy of short works, including “No New Gods”, “Bloodlines” and “Nuju”; each evoking “shadow worlds” that trace histories of relocation, cultural adaption and survival. The result of multi-year intensive dance laboratories, the program’s lead artists have “uncovered unique stories of their connections to their ancestors through who they are today,” says Marrugeku co-artistic director, Dalisa Pigram. Watch the performance at Carriageworks through April 29, 2023. carriageworks.com.au

The Raes x Rationale experience, spanning four facial treatments and three body treatments, is available to guests and visitors, and harnesses professional bioactive ingredients, state-of-the-art facial modalities and firming massage techniques to achieve a Byron Bay-worthy state of glowing weightlessness. raes.com.au
Buy This: Ganni’s Next-Gen Bag Goes Bou
Scandi fashion favourite Ganni is on a mission to shape a more responsible future for fashion, and after phasing out virgin leather in its ready-to-wear range the brand has turned its gaze toward accessories. Enter: the Bou. A softly hexagonal shaped carrier inspired by the “Copenhagen way of life”, the next-gen Bou bag (named after the brand’s creative director Ditte Reffstrups’s oldest daughter) was first unveiled at the AW 23 “Ganni Butterflies” show at Copenhagen Fashion Week, and is crafted from recycled leather and Ohoskin – a luxury leather alternative made of waste from orange and cacti farming. Available in six vibrant hues, the Bou bag retails from $595 and speaks to the brand’s innovative brand of cool, whilst holding fast to its environmental principles. ganni.com

Drink Here: A Bar and Restaurant Perched High Above Melbourne
The Victorian capital entices from ground level, but there’s something special about a view from the top. The latest venture from partners Cam Northway, Marco Gattino and Lachlan Thompson, Beverly, merges California sophistication with a panoramic backdrop atop Chapel Street’s new Goldfields House, and features 270-degree views of the Yarra River, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rod Laver Arena and Port Melbourne Bay. Echoing the laidback atmosphere of Los Angeles’ rooftop bar culture, Beverly’s dusty pink, terracotta and bottle green interiors (care of design team Mitchell & Eades) play ball with the bar’s curation of cocktails, sake and wine, and the David Ball-helmed kitchen serving up freshly shucked oysters with tequila mignonette, mac ‘n’ cheese with truffled gouda and selection of fire-charred proteins. beverlyrooftop.com.au
