The Northern Hemisphere is dusting off its beaches in time for summer (see: Aman’s prestige multi-island offshoot or the luxury Phuket retreat that’s ready for check in). But if jetting off somewhere warm isn’t on the agenda this season, Raes on Wategos is throwing open its doors this winter for a two-night retreat and Norfolk Island is the pristine dreamscape on standby for adventure seekers.

Amancaya, The Bahamas

A new luxury resort is set to hit shorelines in the Bahamas. Aman is expanding its high-end hotel portfolio with Amancaya, the brand’s first hotel in The Bahamas, and its third in the Caribbean region, where Amanera is the Dominican Republic’s answer to luxury wellness and Amanyara brings tropical escapism to Turks and Caicos. Claiming two of the Exumas private cays, guests can expect an exclusive 36-pavilion resort and luxury residences, with hotel amenities set to include a beach club, spa, marina, and supernova hotel dining.

Trisara, Phuket

“The White Lotus” effect is still at a fever pitch, and Phuket’s exclusive oceanfront resort, Trisara, is the multi-generational escape ticking all the high-end hotel boxes. Villa amenities here include multiple bedrooms, private infinity pools, a cook and a housekeeper (for those aspiring to the Ratliff family’s mode of holidaying). A three night stay at the Private Pool Residences is where the real luxury begins though, with complimentary children’s activities, wellness sessions, a food and beverage credit and airport transfers all part of the package.

Raes on Wategos, Byron Bay

From May to August, Raes on Wategos and the shiny new Raes Guesthouses will be whisking those in need of a staycation away to embrace the quieter version of Byron Bay. The offer includes return transfers, a complimentary chef’s selection of snacks at the iconic Raes Dining Room and for five nights or more, two complimentary Raes x Rationale spa treatments to luxuriate in.

Norfolk Island, The South Pacific

Norfolk Island is ready to thrill. Tranquility meets adventure in the South Pacific, with a roster of recreational activities — from surf breaks and snorkelling, to forest hiking and exploring the island’s UNESCO ruins. And for those seeking a retreat away from the city hustle, this untapped island haven is the place to be, with quiet beaches and dreamy landscapes for remote relaxation.
